[iSenseLabs Weekly 73] New OpenCart Features & Fixes, Video Tutorials and Latest E-Commerce News

Time to wrap up what we did during the past week. There are a lot of modules with OpenCart 3.0 compatibility, but we’re still working on increasing their number.

One of the week’s highlights is the latest collaboration we did with TemplateMonster. They created a comprehensive Theme Development tutorial in case you want to try creating a custom template for your own OpenCart site.

SEO Backpack 3.5 (OC 3.0.x) & SEO Backpack 2.5 (OC 2.x)

New feature: Added support for Arabic characters

Improvement: Added support for special characters, like ấ, ở, ễ and ậ

Bug fix: Fix warning that the slug already exists when using the Advanced Editor

Bug fix: Fixed error about missing language model file when installing the module for the first time

Bug fix: Minor improvements on the SEO URL generation tool

ProductBundles 4.3 (OC 2.0.x to 2.3.x)

Improvement: The bundle listing in the admin panel now shows the actual bundle ID instead of a random generated list number

Bug fix: Fixed issue with bundle currency not being updated when the store has more than one installed currencies and a client switches between them

Bug fix: Fixed not working SEO URLs for OpenCart 2.0-2.2.x

Bug fix: Removed the incorrectly used 'required' word from the option string when a bundle has a product with options

Bug fix: Fixed current() error displayed when there is a corrupted bundle (not recreated properly when a store owner upgraded from ProductBundles 3.x to 4.x)

Bug fix: Fixed issue with long product names

FacebookStore 3.0 (OC 3.0.x)

Improvement: OpenCart 3.0.x compatibility.

Improvement: The admin panel now shows the last updated page tab name instead of the name used when the tab was created.

Bug fix: Module now shows the correct checkout success page.

FacebookLogin 2.4.2 (OC 2.x) & 3.0.1 (OC 3.0.x)

Improvement: Journal 2 themes compatibility

Bug fix: Removed unneeded redirect on first installation of the module

Square 2.0.2 (OC 2.x)

Bug fix: Capturing an authorized transaction no longer changes the order status to Partially Refunded.

Bug fix: Undefined variable has_selected_card resolved for Journal Checkout.

Bug fix: Template files now revert to the default theme if they do not exist.

Improvement: Introduce Journal2 template files.
