We bought this module to send personalized e-mails to our customers, the main idea was to offer some products such as product A,B and C to a customer that bought the products D and offer the products E,F and G to a customer that bought the product H after 30 days or something like that. It seems that this multiple campaigns are not possible in the module since we can only choose one recipient.

Please let me know if there is a way to do what we want.

Currently the module allows you to send an email to product A,B and C to a customer that bought product D by using a cronjob, but unfortunately, it doesn't have the functionality to set a time delay of 30 days after a purchase, but you should select a specific date. Also, the cronjob doesn't allow you to schedule different email campaigns for different customers. You can do so manually by selecting recepients bought specific product, then send the email and then changing the setting for the recipient and send the newsletter again.

My question is what if I have a high volume site that needs email sent to the user directly after purchase, not 10 or 20 mins after... Should I be making the cronjob a every minute thing or do I even need to use cron at all? I would love if it was instantly sent once the order was placed....

AutomatedNewsletter is intended to be use for email campaigns, not for transactional emails after order status change or something similar as action.

If you want to send transactional emails, you might want to check OrderFollowUp instead.
