Hi,

Guest Order View module has couple of  bugs:

(1) Email id is case sensitive. It does'nt work if email id is entered in Capital Letters

(2) Sometimes it shows Error, when we click on Order View confirmation email to view order it  shows  : Error: Wrong email address or Order ID. (whereas email id  & order no. is correct)

Please check

Thanks

Hello Vishal,

On your questions:

1) The email field is case sensitive in order for us to match it with the actual entered email in the order placing process. We can make it work without case sensitive check, however, this is actually the first request that we have on this.

2) This could be caused by spaces before or after the email or the order ID in the fields. Make sure to not have any empty spaces in the fields. Basically, we are searching for an exact match in order to ensure that it is indeed you who wants to check that specific order.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

For the 1st point, the email address should not be case sensitive because practically nobody bothers this point while entering email id.

For the 2nd point, I have checked it again. It misses for some orders when use this module randomly. Please check again.

Thanks for your reply.

Vishal

Hello!

I needed to adapt this module for multiple languages and somewhat succeeded (using Version 1.4, latest at this moment). I had to delete one row in install.xml file as it prevented title translation, I believe there was a bug as theoretically title translation is built in, just did not work for me. Changes I made for title translation to work:

1) delete row #13: "$_['guest_order_view']  = 'Guest Order View';" I am wondering if this was the correct solution as now the title is translated, but only when the module is accessed (clicked on the link in profile window). While not accessed, the title is "guest_order_view" in all languages. I know that the deleted line was supposed to do the translation, but for some reason it did not work and even prevented the translation to work at all.

I hope somebody more knowledgeable than myself can comment on this.

Thanks Davids

Hello Davids,

This could be happening if the title is hardcoded in the controller, make sure to check this.  If you are still facing issues with that, feel free to open a support ticket in https://isenselabs.com/tickets/open

Hope this helps!
