Does OpenOffice work with Excelport properly? |
Hi there,
I have exported using OpenOffice rather than Microsofts Excel. I have found that the .xlsx file is showing lots of irrlevant data that looks like code.
here is a sample:
><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="color: rgb(105, 105, 105);">Light up your bedroom ceiling, under the stairs or anywhere you like !&nbsp;</span></span></p>
This is making it hard for me to edit copy and re-import.
Can you help / advise?
Thanks,
Simon,
I too am an Open Office user, and I´m looking into buying Excelport. Will there be any problems using Open Office with Excelport?
Hi Andreas, Becki,
Actually OpenOffice works for some customers and does not work for others. This is why we always recommend LibreOffice as an alternative. It is free and opensource. You can get it on https://www.libreoffice.org

Thanks Mihail, I have not tried/bought the module yet but atleast I know there is an alternative to Openoffice.
In fact LibreOffice is the successor of OpenOffice. It was forked from OpenOffice.
