Better image optimization needed

Hey guys, we're looking at ways of better optimizing our images.  We currently use NitroPack but it doesn't seem offer as good optimization of images compared to Google's Pagespeed or mod_pagespeed Apache module.

Further to this, we embed some images in product descriptions, these are usually non-cached images.

Have you considered integrating or using this feature?: http://adaptive-images.com

This would allow on the fly re-sizing of images based on the users device and taking into consideration individual image sizes in product content.

Hi,

We have updated the image optimization functionality in the latest 2.5.5 and 1.8.5 versions of NitroPack, so you can give this a try. As for the adaptive images script - it can help resolving some dpi issues, however it will not help in resizing an image appropriately based on the container dimensions, which is one of the major issues with the responsive themes. You can use NitroPack's image override to fix this.
