[iSenseLabs Weekly 59] New OpenCart Features & Fixes, Video Tutorials and Latest E-Commerce News

Time for another weekly update! We’re glad to announce that we made some more progress with SEO Backpack, our newest OpenCart extension.

We implemented a lot of new features and worked on improving the usability of the control panel even more. Check out the SEO Backpack demo to get familiar with the changes.

Another big thing is the latest blog post we wrote on the topic of OpenCart and Magento and which one would be more suitable for an E-Commerce store depending on your business. You will find it in the articles section below our extension updates.

SEO Backpack 2.2 (OC 2.0.1.x - OpenCart 3.x)

New feature: Implemented new "Migrate" function, which will migrate your current SEO URLs (if you have such) to the new logic, introduced in SEO Backpack

New feature: Added .htaccess file check in the SEO Score calculation

New feature: Added robots.txt file check in the SEO Score calculation

New feature: Added Chinese support (experimental)

New feature: Added limit option for the filter in the 'Advanced Editor' page

New feature: Added option to remove more than one auto-links at a time

New feature: Added option to remove more than one custom URLs at a time

Improvement: Removed image renamer check from the SEO Score calculation, since some of the clients already have their images renamed.

Improvement: The product prices for the structured data are now formatted to show no more than 2 decimal digits

Bug fix: SEO Chart display issue is now fixed

Improvement: Promotion page is compatible with Journal2
