iSenseLabs Weekly 109: What's New in Your OpenCart Extensions
Another awesome and productive week at iSenseLabs has come to an end.
The team did their best to deliver as much as possible and made another step forward in improving your OpenCart extensions so your store can run better and give you more features!
Among the highlights of the week are a few new features in GDPR Compliance.
- Double Opt-In: You now have a double subscription feature for newsletters that sends your customers a confirmation message after they opt in.
- Journal 3 Compatibility: The new Journal 3 theme is coming out soon and we've made sure that our GDPR Compliance module is compatible with it.

OpenCart Extension Updates
GDPR Compliance 1.8, 2.8 & 3.8 | All OpenCart Versions
New Feature
- Added newsletter double opt-in. When the customer decides to subscribe to your newsletter, they will receive a message which will contain a link for confirmation of the subscription. This will be displayed as a 'double opt-in' event in the "Opt-In/Opt-Out" section. Works on regular registration, registration when checking out (tested with the default checkout) and by manually editing the newsletter settings from "Your Account". The template is also multi-lingual.
- Now you can select which page to be linked as a policy in the cookie consent bar. You can do that from the 'Cookie Consent Bar' tab in the admin panel of GDPR Compliance.
- Compatibility with Journal 3 theme and checkout (OpenCart 3.0.x)
- Compatibility with Journal 3 theme and checkout (OpenCart 2.x)
- Added a new filter option in the "Opt-In/Opt-Out" tab in the admin panel - "Double Opt-In"
