GDPR/CCPA app plan updates

The new updates for our GDPR/CCPA app plans are already live, and that is not all. Not only are the existing ones updated, but we have also created a whole new plan.

Introducing the new Unlimited plan 

This new plan offers unlimited page views and it is recommended for big marketplaces and Shopify Plus users. The plan contains all the features of the Pro plan plus some new exclusive additions like:

  • Free translation app set up - this means that, upon request, you will get a one-time free translation app set up of your choosing.

  • AWS CDN (Amazon Web Services Content Delivery Network)  - this feature brings enhanced content security, higher performance rate as opposed to the other plans, and better location detection.

  • Priority Support - this type of support is available only for Unlimited Plan users. Their requests will be reviewed first at the beginning of the day. The rest will be replied from oldest to newest.

  • Unlimited page views - if your store has more than 100k page views a month we definitely recommend the Unlimited Plan.

What is new in the Free, Standard, and Pro?

Let’s take a look at the updates of the other plans:

  • Free Plan - up to 10k page visits a month

  • Standard Plan - up to 30k page visits a month

  • Pro Plan - up to 100k page visits a month

A full list of the features included in each plan is available in the Upgrade Plan tab in the app admin.

Note: The new terms are valid for new subscriptions only. All existing users will continue to use the app at the same prices and conditions as they initially subscribed for. Keep in mind that if you want to upgrade to a higher plan the new conditions of the app will take effect. 

Why we have changed our plan’s prices? 

Since we have introduced our plan structure last summer, we have added quite a few improvements such as:

  1. Cookie information panel - this feature is located in the Cookie Consent Bar tab and it is available only for the premium plans. This panel has three options: 

  • Display Cookie information - If you decide to enable it, this option will allow your visitors to see detailed cookie information for each cookie in the preferences popup. If you select to disable it this information won't be visible to your website visitors.

  • Add cookie - this option lets you add custom cookies and assign them to the existing categories.

  • Select a cookie to modify - here you can edit the description and/or the category of an existing cookie or modify the cookie itself.

  1. Dashboard & Statistics improvements - this feature is located in the Global Settings tab

  • Daily Acceptances chart shows how many times your policy has been accepted for the past 7 days.

  • Daily Deletion requests field keeps the data for the requests received for the past 7 days.

  • The Quota Limit section shows the page views you have received so far based on the total amount of views your monthly plan is supporting. This information will update every 6 hours and it will reset each month based on the date that you have installed the app.

  1. Integration with the most popular translation apps - Our GDPR/CCPA app is compatible with the following translation apps: Weglot, Translate My Store, Langify, GTranslate. Translation Lab. For more information check our Translating the GDPR/CCPA app blogpost.

  2. Translation tab - this feature facilitates the translation process even further. It offers options for changing the language for the GDPR/CCPA Request pages and emails, and the Language for the data collection text. We have also introduced two new buttons: 

  • 'Refresh Metafields' - it helps you to set up the metafields and make them visible in the admin of the translation app that you are using.

  • 'Add metafields to theme.liquid' - this button will add the necessary code for our app to work correctly with those metafields.

  1. The most recent improvement is our updated Help Center page.

  • Live Chat - before opening a chat with our support agent you will be able find the most common issues that the users are experiencing and try to resolve the problem by yourself. 

  • A new Diagnose panel is at your disposal and you are able to run an actual diagnosis of your store and show the potential reasons why the bar is not showing.

  • FAQ - We have added the most popular questions with explanations that will help you check any initial issues you may experience with the app.

All of the updates mentioned above have added value to the GDPR/CCPA app and it was normal for these changes to reflect on the plans' prices.
